Stoicism -Deterministic Philosophy

Stoicism is a deterministic philosophy. Everything, according to the Stoics, is corporal. Knowledge can be gained through the use of reason, and truth can be distinguished from fallacy.

In recent times, the word “Stoic” has come to mean “unemotional.” The ancient Stoics, however, did not seek to reduce or eliminate emotion, but rather sought to transform the individual through self-discipline and inner calm. Such things as logic and reflection were employed in order to achieve this state of detachment. The Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was one of the most famous adherents of Stoicism.
