Fascism Research Papers

Fascism research papers define what fascism is and then go on to explain how fascism develops in the political science arena. International politics often deal with fascism because there are several fascist leaders in the world today. If you have a research paper to write on fascism, consider the following topic suggestions:

  • Who are the most powerful fascist leaders today?
  • In the past, who are the most famous fascist leaders?
  • How does fascism seep into society and why do nations allow fascist leaders?

Fascism research papers reveal that fascism is one of the worst “isms” of the modern world.  Industrialism, imperialism, communism, and capitalism all have their detractors, and each can be seen to trample on the individual, but none of these isms established themselves from the start on the principal of brute force. Fascism

Fascism and Mussolini

Benito Mussolini, who established the first fascist state in Italy during the 1920s (when Hitler was sitting in jail smarting over the embarrassment that was the Beer Hall Putsch and penning his venomous Mein Kampf), wrote that fascism “was born of the need for action and it was itself from the beginning practical rather than theoretical”.  Il Duce was also quite clear that fascism rejected Pacifism.  “War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have the courage to meet it”. In fact, hostility towards other nations is one of the benchmarks of fascism.  Hitler’s 1920 Nazi Program differed from the overblown nationalism of Mussolini in several important ways.  Hitler included his hatred of the Jews in this early document, and specified who qualified for inclusion: “Only a member of the race can be a citizen.  A member of the race can only be one who is of German blood…no Jew can be a member of the race”.  While the Nazis called for “old age welfare” as well as national health and education, they also demanded automatic censorship of the Press.
