PA College Students
All dressed up and no place to go, maybe. The state budget impasse in Pennsylvania has left 172,000 college students wondering if they will be able to get back to school in two weeks. Without grant money, students cannot pay the tuition and fees at Pennsylvania colleges. Without students paying tuition, more state workers, i.e. teachers, will be laid off. Its a vicious cycle that has been getting Pennsylvania deeper and deeper in the murky waters of fiscal fiascoes akin to those in California.
The new fiscal year began July 1st, and still no resolution. State workers have seen pay reductions, forced days off and layoffs for the past two months. However, direct pain to the private sector has been minimal, until now. College financial aide offices have been overwhelmed with calls and concerned students and parents flooding the office in an attempt to determine if school will start for them without their finances in order. So a Twitter friend of mine has a research paper on whether or not Romantic Love is the best kind of love. Tough subject but not impossible. She’s having a hard time getting it started so, I want to illustrate how to get a tough research paper topic started. I began thinking “who in history can answer this question for me?”. Well, right away Mark Antony and Cleopatra came to mind as the ultimate couple in love. So I look up their story and here is what I find…Seems that Cleopatra was a bit of a hussy and really wasn’t that into Mark Antony. She completely used him. So here is my opening paragraph as to whether Romantic love is the best kind of love, based on historical fact:
Romantic love is one of the greatest feelings one can have but it is not the best kind of love there is. Romance can cloud the mind and even change the course of history, as Mark Anthony discovered when taken in by the Cleopatra VII of Egypt. Cleopatra VII of Egypt was the most powerful woman in the world eclipsing all of her namesakes that had come before her; no small feat since her name was commonly used by her Ptolemaic ancestors, who were originally Macedonians. Born in Egypt in 69 B.C. the third of six children, she and her five siblings were in a life-and-death competition for the throne of Alexandria. To spare her life, she made the Great Caesar fall in love with her and ruled Egypt with him. When Egypt was threatened by Octavian and Mark Antony, Cleopatra worked her romantic majic on Mark Antony and, intuitively knowing how easily impressed he could be, she answered his summons to appear in Turkey by assembling the most splendid display of wealth possible, making the most fashionable entrance of the history of the civilized world. Romance novelists could not possibly have written a story more passionate or tragic. Upon seeing her entourage, and passing some time in her company, Antony fell completely in love with her, so in love that he fathered three children with her and bequeathing parts of the Roman Empire to her kingdom to split among their children. Romantic love led these men into the spider web of Cleopatra; romantic love clouds the mind and falls short of purity and goodness of true love.

Studying world religions offers a number of intellectual and social benefits. Because various religions are frequently ascribed by groups of a particular race or national heritage, its study provides a broader understanding of how religion influences the cultural development of specific groups of people. It also offers a distinct perspective on how religion influences social behaviors.
Gaining knowledge of how religion influences the cultural values and principles of people is especially timely in light of the recent terrorist attacks that have been attributed to an Islamic jihad. Although the recent events of terrorism have been supported by only a small segment of fundamentalist Muslims, a comparative perspective of what contributes to the traditional concept of Islamic holy war may provide a better understanding of what prompted current events.
As a basis for gaining a greater understanding of diverse religious beliefs and practices, the study of world religions also contributes to a greater tolerance or acceptance of the religious traditions of others. History supports the contention that ignorance of diverse cultural characteristics, including religion, provides a fertile groundwork for prejudice and intolerance. American society is a melting pot of the world’s ethnic groups, many of which have preserved their religious heritage. The study of world religions is therefore an integral part of understanding American society.

Heath Ledger in Batman Makes a Timely Term Paper
The importance of making your term paper “timely” is something that cannot be stressed enough. Other blogs have been posted on it by Paper Masters because it is something we believe in strongly. You cannot go wrong with professors if you apply the knowledge you learn in their class to timely and relevant current events. These current events don’t even have to be major news stories; rather, they should be contemporary issues that show you fully understand the topic and can apply it to your daily life. Let me give you some examples of term paper topics in various classes that can be applied to current events.
