6) Professors hate people who complain about things at home and never even think of coming to them directly for help or explanation. If you think you might not do as well as you’d like, go to the professor first.
7) YOU are not special. Unless you have an appreciable group of your classmates that agree that your professor is unfair in his/her grading practices, the department chair will most likely side with the professor. Do your homework, both figuratively and literally, to try to pass, and to find out what other people think.

Excellent TA 101! No matter how unapproachable a professor seems, they will appreciate you showing effort. TA 101 is exactly right in that YOU are not special but if you and your classmates discuss what is going on and other’s REASONABLY feel that there is a problem, a group approach is very effective.
