Bisexuality Research Papers
Heterosexuality is defined as the tendency to direct sexual desire toward the opposite sex. Homosexuality is defined as erotic behavior with another of the same sex. But what is bisexuality? Defining bisexuality up until recently has been a difficult task, because the history of research into this field can be classified as almost non-existent. Problems arise in defining bisexuality when one starts from the known (heterosexuality) and tries to define the unknown in terms of this. Currently, it seems that most research on the subject of bisexuality has fallen into this trap by attempting to derive bisexuality from homosexuality. Difficulties then arise when the researchers try to differentiate bisexuality by ascertaining what “activities” must be present to discriminate between homosexuality and bisexuality. In general, researchers in this field have defined bisexuality by classifying three separate behaviors:
- Eroticizing or being sexually aroused by both males and females;
- Engaging in (or desiring) sexual activity with both;
- Adopting bisexual as a sexual identity label (as opposed to labeling oneself as homo- or heterosexual).

A research paper is an in-depth examination of Bisexuality. More than just an overview of what was learned on Bisexuality, like a term paper is, a research paper contains analysis of Bisexuality along the lines of organizational theory and relevant published material. Research papers are highly analytical and can often be more than 8 to 10 pages. The key to a good research project is the examination of recently published journal articles and peer-reviewed material on the Bisexuality chosen. Like the name implies, research papers are exactly that, a paper that examines the information that can be found on Bisexuality.
